Independent Trustee for EA Hotel, Blackpool (UK)

For more details of the project, see here.

These are part-time volunteer roles, likely requiring no more than 5 hours a month.

Two independent trustees are sought (to make up a team of 5, including the Founder (me), the Hotel Manager, and a representative of the EA guests).

You will be part of the Board of Trustees of the Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) running the hotel. You will be an EA with standing in the community, who does not seek to directly benefit from the hotel (i.e. you are not planning on staying there for free) or the project in general (you are also not hoping for a grant to live somewhere else at low cost), but are interested in helping the project succeed.

The board of trustees of a charity fulfils a similar role to the board of directors at a company. In this case it would be attending fortnightly meetings over video chat discussing the direction of the project and the acceptance of long term guests. You will have power over the direction the project takes (making up a fifth of the vote).
